摘要
Internal solitary waves (ISWs) appear frequently in South China Sea. ISWs are one of the most powerful dynamic processes in the continental areas of the ocean. Thus, ISWs are a huge threat to submarines. In order to investigate the influence of internal solitary waves on submarine, a numerical method based on Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations was adopted in this paper. Besides, KdV internal solitary theory was used to modeling ISW-induced currents. Captive submarine model was simulated and analyzed. And, simulation for submarine free motion with the interaction of ISWs was realized by Dynamic Fluid Body Interaction method (DFBI) based on overset grid. It indicates that flow fields become very complex when a submarine goes through solitary waves, resulting an extremely considerable load and motion. Thus it is necessary to pay special attention to safe operation of submarine in ISWs. © 2019, Editorial Board of Journal of Ship Mechanics. All right reserved.
