摘要
Light and medium duty crane runway girders are often produ-ced from rolled I-sections. Now that the European wide flange sections (HD and HL rolled sections) have been standardized for the first time (DIN EN 10365, version 07/2017), the range of application of rolled sections for crane runway girders has been significantly extended [1]. Using steel grade S 355 instead of S 235 is becoming more and more common for crane runway girders, often allowing for more economical design. Preliminary dimensioning tables have been prepared for single-and two-span crane runway girders with equal field widths in order to rate the load capacity of the rolled sections and to select the rolled section series and sizes at an early planning phase of a plant. Current Eurocode standards were taken into account. Input parameters for the tables include the field length, number of fields, characteristic vertical wheel loads, the spacing of wheels and the profile series. As a result, it becomes easier to choose a suitable rolled section as crane runway girder according to the given parameters. Additionally, it can be determi-ned, which verification is of vital importance for the size of the crane girder. © Ernst & Sohn Verlag für Architektur und technische Wissenschaften GmbH & Co.
