This article highlighted the recipient of the 2020 International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM) Arthur Ellison Outstanding Achievement Award, the IEEE Bimal Bose Award, and the 2020 Prize Paper Award winners. The ICEM Arthur Ellison Achievement Award, established in 2010, recognized an individual for outstanding sustained technical contributions in the field of electrical machines, based on his or her publications, particularly those printed in ICEM proceedings. IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) member Prof. Aldo Boglietti was the recipient of the 2020 ICEM Arthur Ellison Outstanding Achievement Award, for his ‘outstanding sustained technical contributions in the field of electrical machines’. Boglietti was a full professor of electrical machines at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, and he was the head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the same university from 2003 to 2011.
