摘要
Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to evaluate complex and large amounts of data to identify patterns and predict the behavior of complex systems. AI can serve as an enabler to reduce environmental impacts and optimize the sustainability of manufacturing companies. This paper demonstrates the potential of combining sustainability and AI to achieve the sustainability goals of a company. A detailed implementation guideline is presented that supports management to introduce AI systems to optimize sustainability. © 2023 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
