Manufacturing modes is the methodology regarding high-end manufacturing, It determines manufacturing philosophy, technical system and management system of manufacturing enterprise. For the reason of producing high-grade machine tools with a natural way, but not a special procedure, it is necessary to study manufacturing modes profoundly. Thus, the advanced manufacturing mode and its related concepts were discussed, and several common advanced manufacturing modes such as roup technology, computer integrated manufacturing systems, virtual manufacturing, intelligent manufacture, lean production, agile manufacturing, green manufacturingand were introduced in detail. The research and application of various advanced manufacturing modes in the domestic machine tool industry were elaborated, which laid a solid foundation for introducing high-end manufacturing modes indomestic machine tool industry. © 2023 CIMS.
