摘要
Transverse stiffeners have an additional stiffening effect on lateral buckling of H-shaped beam members with continuous restraint on the upper flange. In this paper, the effect of geometric properties of the H-shaped beam members on the buckling behavior is examined by the energy method. From the numerical simulations, the equations for evaluating the elastic buckling strength of stiffened beam members with restraint and the effective position to stiffen are derived. Finally, the plastic deformation capacity is examined by elastic-plastic analysis, and the evaluating method is proposed. © 2020 Architectural Institute of Japan. All rights reserved.
