摘要
In this article, the authors analyze the state and prospects for worldwide renewable energy sources development and consider the features of the introduction of power plants based on them in Russia. An analysis of world experience shows the relevance of the research performed in this work. Considering the large reserves of renewable energy sources and the geographical position of Russia, the authors concluded that it is expedient to increase the volume of renewable energy facilities construction in Russia. To achieve this goal, in the studies performed in this work, the authors applied a phenomenological approach and used published data on the location and characteristics of renewable energy sources as materials for analysis. A comparative analysis showed that in terms of electricity production levels at renewable energy facilities and the volume of their commissioning, Russia is significantly inferior to most industrialized countries. In the paper, the authors identify and analyze the factors hindering the accelerated introduction of renewable energy in Russia, and give recommendations for the further development of renewable energy in Russia. © 2023 by Begell House, Inc.
