摘要
In order to improve the interaction between SSBR and silica, solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) was modified through cross olefin metathesis with small molecules such as vinyl triethoxysilane (VTEO), vinyl trimethoxysilane (VTMO) and methyl acrylate (MA), respectively. The results show that all three olefins react with SSBR and lead to the decrease of molecular weight (Mn) of the modified SSBR. The degree of Mn reduction was inversely proportional to the molecular weight of olefins under same experimental conditions and olefin amount. Compared with unmodified SSBR, SSBR modified by VTEO and VTMO enhanced its interaction with silica, which consequently increased the bound rubber content, decreased Payne effect of the compound, and increased the tan δ at 0 ℃ but decreased the tan δ at 60 ℃ of the vulcanizate. Both wet skid resistance and rolling resistance of the tread are improved for high performance tires. © 2020, Editorial Board of "Journal of Chemical Engineering of Chinese Universities".
