摘要
Continuous blood glucose monitoring systems are also increasingly popular for use in healthy, non-diabetic populations, as they provide insight into a person's metabolic status, which can have a significant impact on improving lifestyle, healthy eating, exercise and reducing the risk of developing various chronic diseases. This case report demonstrates the use of two popular sensors, the Dexcom G6 and the Abbot Freestyle Libre 2, for continuous blood glucose measurement in a woman diagnosed with arterial hypertension, without other chronic diseases or complications. Daytime post-meal measurements were found to be higher with the Abbot Freestyle Libre 2, but nighttime measurements were lower. In the future, it is important to investigate the influence of different environmental factors on the values. The Dexcom G6 sensor showed unusual dips and jumps in night-time plasma glucose measurements. Therefore, further investigations on the effect of sleep position and compression of the sensor site on glucose values are needed.
