摘要
the purpose of this article is to point out Martha Nussbaum's educational proposal regarding the formation of citizens within a liberal society. For which his works are taken as references: The Cultivation ofHumanity and Non-Profit. To do this, initially a brief allusion will be made to the meaning of "humanistic education" in other authors, this tending to frame the three (3) skills that for Nussbaum correspond to developing in a humanistic and liberal education: self-examination; the citizen of the world and the cultivation of the narrative imagination, on which some elements will be presented that can place the reader in the thought of the North American philosopher as a parallel proposal of what she calls an "education for income." Finally, some brief reflections will be presented on his proposal that contribute to rethinking the training of citizens actively committed to the construction of a liberal society.
