摘要：

This article provides a brief overview of the current status of Easy Language in Germany. Among other things, it looks at central rules and regulations, translation with AI tools and the adaptation of texts for people with intellectual disabilities. It shows ways in which communication barriers can be overcome beyond printed texts.
