摘要
We aimed to automate the detection and measurement of chromosomal rearrangements at the BCL2 locus located on chromosome 18q21 in order to further refine the BCL2 based therapeutic strategies for follicular lyphoma and speed up its diagnostics. The implementation was carried out using fluorescence in situ hybridization, PANNORAMIC MIDI II fluorescence slide scanner, and digital image processing techniques. The method provides visualization of the evaluated digital tissue slides for 2D and 3D serial sections as well.
