摘要
The objective is to point out the potential of considering images of cultural heritage as digital objects from the perspective of information polyrepresentation through the study of the Europeana Image Classification Pilot project. The methodological approach was exploratorydescriptive and qualitative of the themes concerning the objective and subsequently analyzed in the Europeana project. The results highlight that digital images of cultural heritage, when treated as digital objects from a polyrepresentation perspective, can be represented in different configurations depending on the context, under a modular and granular character that enables the interpretation of these images at different interaction levels.
