摘要
The object of this article is the relation among the immigration, race and body subjects in the Brazilian social thinking in the ends of 19th th Century and benign of 20th th Century. The central goal consists in to verify how the body is party of immigration and body debate among the choice authors. The motivation of the study that give origin to this article have relation to the growth of numbers of Brazilian immigration studies where the body subject is present, this subject is part of a large research agenda that will be publicized in the future. The reflections present now were developed from a bibliography revision realized in two fronts. The first, consisting of readings of important works and authors that studied the Brazilian social thinking precursors that approached the Brazilian people formation. The second front is the rereading of these works and authors now confronted to the possible relation among immigration, race and body. At the end, the article show that the body, meanly, in its relation to race idea and to its interface to Brazilian people formation debate in which the miscegenation is the medullary question. In this background, race and, indirectly, body is central to the genetics and biological approach authors, on the other side, to authors that defend a cultural perspective.
