摘要
In this manuscript, we aim to investigate the phenomenon of cracking to determine how local density perturbations impact the stability of compact objects in modified f ( R, T ) gravity, where R and T denote the Ricci scalar, and trace of energy-momentum, respectively. For this purpose, we consider the spherically symmetric spacetime with an isotropic matter distribution and formulated the equation signifying hydrostatic equilibrium. Furthermore, we use the Krori Barua approach for our current analysis. The configuration is subsequently subjected to local density perturbation while taking barotropic equation of state into consideration. We consider the observational data of seven different compact stars including Her X-1, SAX J1808.4-3658, 4U 1820-30, PSR J1614-2230, Vela X-1, Cen X-3, and RXJ1856-37 respectively, to assess the viability of the proposed approach. Conclusively, this study demonstrate that all stars experience cracking and emphasizes the importance of cracking approach in analyzing the stability of the system.
