摘要
In 25-75% of cases, rupture of the membranes before 37 weeks of gestation and before the onset of labor (PPROM: Preterm Prelabor Rupture Of Membranes) is caused by microbial colonization of the amniotic cavity (MIAC: Microbial Invasion of the Amnion Cavity). In 17-58% of cases, this microbial invasion leads to acute intra-amniotic inflammation (IAI: Intra-amniotic Inflammation) associated with an increase in interleukin-(IL-)6 in the amniotic fluid.
