The article revisits the latest evolution in the historiography of colonial empires, which Hedinger and He & eacute; termed the << transimperial tum >> in 2018. Ertola delves into the methodological distinctiveness of this tradition, assesses its theoretical contributions, and explores its potential to reevaluate established historical narratives, particularly in the Italian context.
