摘要
This study introduces a new technique called Recursive Gain Control (RGC), aimed at enhancing the transient stability of electric power systems. The developed control law addresses the issue of the 'explosion of terms' encountered in the backstepping method and improves the transient stability of the closed-loop power system. By utilising Lyapunov stability arguments, the proposed control approach ensures that all tracking errors of the overall closed-loop dynamics converge within specified bounds. The radii of these bounds can be adjusted by selecting sufficiently large gain control parameters. To evaluate the effectiveness of this approach, simulations are conducted on an IEEE 9-bus multi-machine power system. The findings indicate that the proposed control method is both simple and efficient, exhibiting exceptional dynamic performance while eliminating the need for filters. Moreover, it outperforms existing control methodologies such as backstepping control, dynamic surface control, and command-filtered backstepping control in terms of enhanced transient performance.
