Systematic Review of Scales for Measuring Attitudes Toward Sexuality

In recent years, national and international institutions have provided relevant data on unhealthy practices among sexuality. In this study, a systematic review of existing validated scales that measure attitudes towards sexuality has been carried out in order to classify them based on their authors, year of publication, objectives, population and specific characteristics to facilitate the search and selection of such instruments in future investigations. The review was carried out with the PRISMA 2020 method, using artificial intelligences (Elicit AI, Consensus AI and Copilot AI) and databases (Scopus, Eric and Google Scholar) to collect the articles. As a result of the research, 61 scales measuring attitudes towards sexuality were identified from a total of 409 studies, classified into three categories. From these results, it was concluded the existence of a wide range of dimensions that covers sexuality besides the measures of the instruments, as well as a specific population of application.
