摘要
This article in "Gruppe. Interaktion. Organisation. (GIO)" outlines key issues in dealing with paradoxes for senior managers. Based on a critical discussion of existing leadership approaches in the context of organizational areas of tension, concrete strategic actions for managers in paradoxical leadership environments are derived and illustrated based of seven qualitative interviews with Leaders. Paradoxical leadership requires special skills and behaviors from managers. Accordingly, competencies that are essential for coping with paradoxical leadership situations are highlighted. Based on this, implications for leadership development are given. The considerations lead to a set of competencies for coping with paradoxical leadership situations.
