摘要
Objective: This research was planned to investigate the marital adjustment of pregnant women and their Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) fear during the COVID-19 pandemic period and identify the association between these two variables. Method: This study was performed with a descriptive and cross-sectional design from October 2021 to January 2022. Results: A total of 193 pregnant and married women participated in the research. It was discerned that the variable of marital adjustment perception had no effect on women's Fear of COVID-19 Scale scores (p>0.05) whereas it had a statistically significant effect on their Marital Adjustment Test, Relationship Style Sub-Scale, and Agreement Sub-Scale scores (p<0.05). Besides, it was identified that women's Fear of COVID-19 Scale scores had no statistically significant relationship with their scores on the Marital Adjustment Test and its dimensions (p>0.05). Conclusion: It was determined in the present study that the fear of COVID-19 did not affect the marital adjustment levels of pregnant women significantly, and as the marital adjustment scores of the participants increased, their agreement and relationship style scores also increased.
