Nineteen species of the genus Octavius Fauvel, 1873 from Maloti-Drakensberg and Golden Gate National Parks, South Africa were recognised. Thirteen species are described as new: Octavius aureaportalis Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. clarkei Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. flagellatus Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. gracilis Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. gxaligengwanus Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. kambergensis Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. lothenicus Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. monachicucullus Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. penicullatus Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. regius Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. squamatus Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , O. subulatus Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov. and O. undulatus Jan & aacute;k, sp. nov., , distribution records of additional six species of Octavius are presented and all species are illustrated.
