摘要：

A previously published article has reported a statistically significant association between atopic dermatitis (AD) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We would like to respond to this report, to elaborate on the clinical significance of these data. Based on this report, nearly 8000 patients would need to be seen each year for 1 patient with AD to have a connected case of IBD.
