Applying Design Thinking to Enhance the User Experience in the Interaction with a University Website

In order to obtain an innovative and user-centered solution, those approaches that prioritize the User Experience and the successful resolution of their tasks must be studied in depth. There are proposals aimed at designing products and services that promote empathy among their users. Design Thinking emerges as a process aimed at creating solutions that are technically feasible, organizationally sustainable, and emotionally meaningful. It is clear that Design Thinking can contribute to finding a solution that enriches the access and interaction experience, by fully understanding the user's needs. In this work, a collaborative process is put into practice that considers the Design Thinking phases to improve the experience of one of the user profiles, related to the website of the National University of Austral Patagonia. Preliminary results show that the combined use of approaches enhances user satisfaction and effectiveness in the browsing experience.
