摘要:
The Late Paleoindian Period in the Far Northeast is related to the Pleistocene-Holocene transition and is characterized by a changing landscape. Recent discoveries in the Eastern Townships of southeastern Quebec and a new look at old collections from the Gasp & eacute; Peninsula shed light on the meaning of projectile point types. They also provide new radiocarbon dates for a revised chronology as well as new ideas on the role of stemmed or shoulderless lanceolate points within the regional cultural sequence. Under scrutiny are the Agate Basin point with its related variants and the early phase of the Late Paleoindian Period.
