摘要
In this paper, a grid-forming control technique, called synchronous power control, is applied to a cascaded h-bridge multilevel inverter, to verify its contribution to frequency and voltage regulation, which are crucial to the power system stability. The key novelties of this work are the application of the synchronous power control to a cascaded h-bridge multilevel inverter and the inner current tuning procedure, which is tailored to the modulation technique taken into consideration. In detail, the LCL filter design and both inner and outer control loop tuning procedures are described. Moreover, simulations in the Matlab/Simulink environment have been carried out to analyze both steady-state and transient performances. Finally, simulation results are shown and discussed.
