My paper goes through some ideas of Hegelian political philosophy based on the communitarian conviction of the author: the vision of the civil society of his time as the world of atomism, the critique of suffrage as the main method of political decision-making, the reflection on the family, corporations and the State as institutions not governed by logics of contract be-tween individuals, and the non-prescriptive place that Hegel always granted to philosophical reflection
