摘要
Keratoconus (KK) is a multifactorial disease that often leads to progressive corneal protrusion and thinning. Advanced KK is usually treated with penetrating keratoplasty (PK) and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK). However, these procedures often result in postoperative complications. As an alternative, Dutch ophthalmologists introduced the Bowman layer inlay transplantation (BLIT) in 2011.
