摘要
The knowledge and application of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques are crucial for saving lives in emergencies, underscoring the importance of equipping the general population with these skills. In Spain, these techniques have been integrated into the educational curriculum since the 1990s. Currently, Royal Decree 157/2022 establishes minimum content requirements for first aid in primary education. Teaching these skills at the primary school level not only prepares children to act in emergencies but also promotes a culture of prevention and social responsibility. Numerous studies show that children can learn and effectively apply these techniques, highlighting the importance of starting their training as early as ages 6-7. The results obtained indicate that these topics are present, particularly in the final stage of Primary Education, both in the national Royal Decree and in all regional curricula. This inclusion allows for the teaching of first aid and CPR in schools without requiring changes to the curriculum, significantly contributing to community resilience and saving lives.
