摘要
This paper explores a novel approach to process representation during business process modeling, emphasizing a temporal axis and additional information to improve support for ERP implementation projects. Integrating an advanced modeling tool aims to improve the reliability of planning and understanding. ERP systems play a key role in facilitating the integration and automation of business processes. While conventional BPMN-based process modeling provides a structurally rich representation, it often overlooks temporal sequence, dynamic activity characteristics, and detailed process element information - which is especially ahrd to understand for novices. Through an empirical study, this research qualitatively evaluates an innovative approach for process representaion through a focus group discussion. The result enables the visualization of a structured model that captures time-dependent process steps and their impact on the people involved. Finally, the study presents and analyses the challenges and limitations of previous model and offers potential future perspectives for process representation. Rooted in the empirical study, the research findings provide companies with a promising basis for improving IT implementation projects, fostering a better understanding and encouraging a critical examination of their process knowledge.
