摘要
This research examines the factors influencing the behavioral intention of the elderly aged between the 40s to 60s toward self-ordering kiosks (SOKs) in Malaysian fast-food restaurants. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model is applied to investigate the factors that impact their intention toward the SOKs for the study. Data from over 51 respondents was analyzed through regressions and statistical methods. The results show that hedonic motivation and habit have profound consequences on affecting respondents' behavioral intention. In addition, habit is found to have significantly different effects on behavioral intention among different age and education level groups. This post-test data serves as guidance for both academic and industrial parties to refine the SOKs user experience and the overall adoption rates of SOKs in fast-food spaces.
