摘要
The current study examines the role of sexual communication self-efficacy as it relates to communication during sex and sexual satisfaction to provide an extension to the Communication During Sexual Activity Model (CDSAM). Through a Qualtrics survey, data were collected from 228 sexually active emerging adults. In line with previous research, results demonstrated that higher levels of communication during sex were correlated with higher sexual satisfaction, as was verbal sexual communication self-efficacy. A mediation model was tested using Hayes' PROCESS macro and yielded a mediation between verbal sexual communication self-efficacy and sexual satisfaction through communication during sexual encounters.
