摘要
Vocational education can create a reliable environment for both employees and employers. It allows companies to target niche markets, provide valuable content and networking opportunities. However, there is still a need to increase awareness and popularization of vocational education in industries. Vocational education is carried out by authorized institutions and is an activity that requires considerable cost and time. In this study, the factors affecting the exam performance of the candidates participating in the Vocational Qualification Certificate exams are examined. The research population consists of candidates who participated in the examination of the Bridge Crane Operator profession. Random sampling method was preferred in the selection of exams. 38-question survey was administered to 84 participants who took the exams. This analysis aims to increase awareness of the Professional Competence Certificate and to determine the factors affecting the exam performance of the candidates participating in the exam. By determining the factors, it is aimed to reduce the costs of repeating the exam after the failed exam and to prevent loss of time for both the institution conducting the exam and the candidate taking the exam. ANOVA analysis was used to measure the level of significance between demographic data and factors affecting exam performance.
