摘要
Media and informational education in university teacher training is taking more and more prominence in the European framework. This study offers a systematic review of the published scientific literature on the subject. The databases of the Core Collection of the Web of Science and Scopus were analyzed. After screening based on the established inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample of 41 articles was analyzed. In the analysis, both the main bibliometric characteristics of scientific production and the emerging categories were considered. It was observed that most of the scientific production has an empirical nature following three thematic patterns: the implications of Media and Informational Education in University Teacher Training; the limits and difficulties that this entails; and prospective proposals. Including media and information education in university teacher training has multiple benefits, but requires the complicity and understanding of the entire educational community.
