摘要
Correct estimation of the parameters is important in the success of the Weibull distribution, which is frequently used in analyzing wind characteristics. This study examined 96 articles analyzing Weibull distribution parameters using at least 3 methods between 2014 and 2023. 75 different PEMs and 33 different SEMs were used in studies conducted in 39 different countries. When the five most popular PEM methods are examined, MLE is first with 85% usage rate, EMJ is second with 70%, MOM and EPF are third with 65% and M-MLE is fourth with 57%. RMSE, R2 and X2 are the most commonly used SEMs. Among PEMs, MLE is the method found to be the most successful. However, the PEMs with the highest success rate in the articles used are EMJ and MOM. EPF is the least successful method both proportionally and numerically. When meta-heuristic methods are compared with traditional methods, it is observed that meta-heuristic methods are always successful. A sample application was made within the scope of the study and similar results were obtained. COA, a meta-heuristic method, is the most successful method and EPF is the least successful method. Among the traditional methods, EMJ is the most successful method. In addition, co-authorship, co-occurrence, and cited sources were analyzed. Thus, analyzes were made regarding the authors, journals, and common words that have done the most work in this field.
