摘要:
This paper addresses the challenge of power restoration after a natural disaster focusing on the well-being of the people in the affected areas. Conventional power restoration methods can be time-consuming and non-efficient depending on the severity of the disaster. As a result, emerging strategies are being researched with a specific focus on microgrid-based approaches. The paper looks into microgrid formation, black-start strategies, and mobile energy resources. The paper concludes by comparing the conventional and emerging strategies, where the dynamic and flexible nature of the microgrid is important for future research to either add resiliency to an existing grid or for power restoration after a natural disaster.
