摘要
The article endeavours to uncover the lesser-known history of the Kino magazine, the principal professional film publication in Soviet Ukraine during the 1920s. As a companion to the All-Ukrainian Photo and Film Administration VUFKU, the magazine stands out as a unique emblem of Ukrainian socialist culture. It plays a crucial role in decentralising the dominant Russo-centric narratives of the era, offering valuable research sources that have been largely ignored in established film studies traditions.
