摘要
Digital ledger technology (DLT) can be very suitable for managing and tracking agri-food supply chain systems, increasing trust. Customers' demand for transparency is growing more and more, and these systems will have to prove themselves ready to handle the workload. Moreover, designing and deploying such a system is complex and difficult, and we need tools to prove that the system can achieve its goals without having to fully implement it first. To this purpose, we propose a simulator to assess the performance and the bottlenecks of this kind of system. Unlike other simulators already existing, we simulate all components of an agri-food traceability system based on DLT, rather than just the low-level aspects. The simulator is focused on the agri-food supply chain domain but might be adapted also to other Decentralized Application (DApp) systems.
