Nature and culture or nature-cultures? Questioning human relations with the natural world and its effects on the environmental crisis

This article aims to discuss how human relationships with the natural world have taken place throughout history, especially from the 16th century onwards. The cut is given due to the birth of science that is established there creating other conditions for the natural world. Some events are taken that show the human dominion over nature, creating conditions of possibility for the emergence of what is known today as an environmental crisis. In the company of some authors such as Leandro Guimar & atilde;es et al. (2009), Keith Thomas (2010), Paula Henning (2008, 2012, 2019), Juliana Coutinho (2017), Anna Tsing (2019), Ailton Krenak (2020), Donna Haraway (2021), among others, multiple narratives of the which becomes nature. The theoretical seat is assumed regarding the truths about nature being produced by the culture and the ways of life that we experience. The intention of the article is to think about how we got here and what possibilities of other ways of existing and living with nature, envisioning the desire to expand life and composing other ways of existence in with.
