Training transfer in continuing education activities related to ISO's management system standards. A case study in the Peruvian context

摘要
In the Peruvian context, many organizations have the challenge of implementing standardized processes that allow improving the quality of products or services, prioritizing customer expectations. In this scenario, training activities related to ISO's management system standards are essential for professionals to stay up to date. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the training transfer developed in continuing education activities related to ISO's management system standards on Peruvian context using a questionnaire based on the Factors to Evaluate Transfer (FET) model. The questionnaire was applied to 264 students of four training activities of a private continuing education institution in Peru. Basic descriptive statistics tests, correlational factor analysis and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis statistical tests were performed. The general evaluation indicates that factors such as motivation to transfer and satisfaction with training have the highest means, while support to transfer have the lowest mean. Significant differences were found in factors satisfaction with training and motivation to transfer according to gender, as well as in the factor knowledge and application of ISO's management system standards according to training activity. The need to enhance participant-centred strategies and promote equitable working environments that facilitate transfer in organisations is highlighted. It is suggested to continue researching the training transfer with mixed approaches and to replicate the study in other contexts for comparative purposes for the improvement of continuing education.
