摘要：

Serum NT-proBNP is used in the diagnostic, prognostic, and clinical trial enrollment criteria of HFpEF; however, it is often low in hemodynamically proven HFpEF, particularly in patients with obesity. In this study, our objective was to test the hypothesis that obese patients with HFpEF have lower serum NT-proBNP as a result of lower myocardial NPPB synthesis, despite hemodynamic load. This was a single-center, retrospective study of HFpEF patients (n = 41) referred for right heart catheterization who provided informed consent for research endomyocardial biopsies under an Institutional Review Board-approved protocol at the Johns using previously published transcriptomic data Laboratory with the Elecsys proBNP II electro
