摘要
The purpose of this study was to analyze the role human factors play in modern manufacturing systems using a bibliometric approach. The primary method of data collection was using the search function on three well-known academic databases: Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Metadata was collected from the results of the searches using the keywords "human factors" and "manufacturing". The resulting data was then analyzed using a variety of tools, such asVOSViewer, MAXQDA, Citespace, and Mendeley. The literature reviewed shows that the arrival of Industry 4.0, and the rapid technological changes accompanying it, have changed human work by challenging existing skills and knowledge. Emphasis is now placed on human-centered work design where workers are given meaningful, autonomous roles as decision makers in a symbiotic relationship with production machinery. Ideas for future research on the topic have been proposed at the end of this report.
