摘要
The Solid State Transformer (SST), a high-frequency power electronics device, diverges from conventional transformers with its unique functionalities. Optimizing DC microgrid applications and seamlessly integrating with AC grids, the SST has garnered attention. This paper introduces a Hybrid Solid State Transformer (HSST), coupling the SST with a traditional transformer, to explore its multi-purpose capabilities. The HSST can provide a regulated output voltage with voltage harmonic suppression capability and, at the same time, guarantee a high-power factor to the grid with current harmonic mitigation. Typhoon HIL simulation results are presented considering grid and load disturbance to validate the proposed topology and control strategy. Furthermore, conceptual feasibility is compared to a conventional SST, providing insights into the practicality and potential advancements of this technology.
