摘要
There are multiple linkages in homeostasis and illness between the function and development of the commensal microbiota and the mammalian endocrine system. While the microbiome plays crucial roles in training and maturity of vital host innate and adaptive immune system components, the immune system organizes and protects the essential elements of host-microbe symbiosis. A wide range of immunological-linked diseases are thought to arise in genetically predisposed people from any imbalances in interactions between the immune system and the microbiota. We intend in this paper to summarize the properties of microbiome-immunity crosstalk and their roles both in health and disease states, stating the molecular pathways that manage these interactions within the gut and other extra-intestinal organs. How these insights may enhance the production of microbiome-targeted therapeutic agents in the future as well as highlights on the existing knowledge, challenges, and drawbacks of attaining to a causal awareness of host immune-microbiome interactions and their impact on diseases mediated by the immune system has all been provided by this paper. The body needs to maintain self-tolerance in order to prevent autoimmunity. The gastrointestinal tract's gut microbiota is responsible for maintaining immune homeostasis, which is one of the major ways that it benefits the host's health. In any case of alterations in these guts microbial communities, possibilities of provoking a dysregulation in the immune system have been observed to lead to autoimmune disorders.
