摘要
In this study an attempt has been made by the author to explore the level of intellectual capital present in the enterprises and to check whether intellectual capital can be a linchpin for the sustainable development of small and medium enterprises. A structured questionnaire with 90 statements from strongly agree to strongly disagree has been used for the collection of data and collected data has been analysed using descriptive statistics. Findings depict that the level of intellectual capital as well as the performance is very low in the sampled enterprises which gives an insight that performance would increase if investment in intellectual capital were to be increased by the enterprises. The results of this paper will help society in gaining awareness that besides other financial or non-financial capital, intellectual capital too plays a very significant role in enhancing the performance of enterprises.
