摘要
Spatial changes in metropolitan areas in Spain are consequence of the emergence of new urban growth patterns. Spatial metrics are a useful tool to characterize and quantify urban patterns and processes. This research presents a multitemporal classification of Spanish metropolitan areas using CORINE land cover data for 1990-2018 period. Urban patterns were identified, and urban processes were inferred as changes in urban patterns. Results show a high level of urban pattern change throughout all the metropolitan areas, leading to more disperse urban growth pattern configuration.
