摘要
While extensive series of tests are carried out to determine material parameters for the load-bearing behavior of timber constructions, which enable statistical evaluation, building physics properties are determined using a small number of samples that cannot adequately cover the usual material scatter. Overall, the situation over the decades has been unsatisfactory not only for the manufacturers of building products, but also for planners and users. As part of several projects, extensive experimental and computational studies have been carried out on materials, material combinations and building components, which should lead to a greater understanding of building physics and mechanical properties. The findings can contribute to being able to forecast with greater accuracy, whereby the greater accuracy is based on the possibility of being able to calculate with probabilities that include the scattering of the values of the material properties.
