An Adaptive Frequency Sampling Technique Based on SMoM and EDM for Wideband Electromagnetic Scattering Data of Multiscale Targets

摘要
The wideband electromagnetic (EM) scattering data of multiscale targets contain abundant information about their EM scattering characteristics and features. Traditional iterative methods for obtaining such data often suffer from time-consuming problems. To overcome this difficulty, this letter proposes a novel adaptive frequency sampling (AFS) technique based on subdomain moment of methods (SMoM) and equivalent dipole moment (EDM). The SMoM-EDM can be an excellent solution to the problems of slow convergence and slow impedance matrix filling caused by the multiscale problem. By employing an AFS strategy based on the inverse difference technique, the wideband EM scattering data of multiscale targets can be efficiently and accurately acquired without prior knowledge. Numerical examples demonstrate that the method can efficiently acquire wideband EM scattering data for multiscale targets.
