摘要
HVOF/PVD duplex design provides a new strategy to enhance impact damage resistance of thin DLC films. A comparative study was conducted on the impact damage behaviors of single-layer DLC films and Cr3C2-NiCr/DLC duplex coatings. The analysis focused on impact crater morphologies, impact-induced phase transition of DLC films, and contact stress distribution of the coating system, thereby revealing the impact damage mechanisms. The results indicated that introducing a cermet interlayer provided strong support for top DLC films, preventing severe plastic deformation of substrates under high contact stress, thereby improving the impact damage resistance of the top DLC films. Comparing the impact energy dissipation processes of single-layer DLC films and duplex coatings established a relationship between impact energy and resulting damage forms.
