摘要
Pastures to feed horses have economical and technical advantages along constraints. Thus, it is important to understand the relationship between the consumed grass and the performances of horses, which was studied during 3 grazing seasons (from 2018 to 2020). The consumed grass has been estimated through the disappeared grass quantity (DQG; kilograms of dry matter of grass consumed per horse per day), horses performance were described by the average daily gain (ADG; kilograms per day) body condition score (BCS). A negative correlation appeared between ADG and DQG while no correlation appeared between BCS and DQG. Variations of BCS, however, were shown with an increase at the beginning of the grazing season and a decrease at end of the season. Statistical study also demonstrated an effect of age on ADG and
